Mommy & Me West Activities Not only does Mommy & Me West offer great daily activities, we offer top notch educational and entertaining experiences! On a daily basis, you can enjoy arts and crafts, musical activities, stroller walks and other playtime fun. You and your child(ren) can also enjoy special activities and excitement at such fun places as:
* Lied Children's Discovery Museum * The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay * The fire station * Anderson Dairy * Natural History Museum * JR Pony Farm And so much more! Some of the activities we promote are: * Annual Preschool Expo - We organize an expo that brings together over 20 preschools and community programs under one roof to give you full and easy access to “interview” schools and programs for your child. This is a great resource and highly anticipated yearly event. * E-Newsletter - Each member receives "Small Talk," an informative e-newsletter announcing upcoming activities, special events, informational workshops, children's birthdays, new members and holiday parties.
* Crafts - We offer a variety of fun and stimulating experiences. Some examples are: musical instruments, magical masks, glitter globes, alphabet books, cards and holiday themed crafts. * Playgroups - Our playgroup coordinator will match you and your child(ren) with others the same age to encourage interactive play while providing you with a support system and a group of friends. * "Mom's Night Out" is a great way to interact with other moms as we enjoy dinner, movies, scrap booking, playing Bingo, sharing recipes, and crafting. * "Meals For Moms" supports our members after the arrival of a new baby. Moms volunteer to provide a meal and deliver it to the new mom. We recognize that having a baby changes your life! * Community Outreach - Our organization conducts several fundraisers each year to benefit local charities and organizations involving mothers and/or children. Mommy & Me West can offer all of this because of the efforts of our volunteer moms. As a volunteer, you will be eligible for a $25 gift card with the winner chosen at random each month.
